Election Update: Boom-Boom Boxer’s Lead Begins to Slip Away
Earlier this month, Abusegate unveiled a national effort to target 20 lawmakers who have refused to help us reform VAWA: http://abusegate.mensnewsdaily.com/10-recommendations-to-give-these-lawmakers-the-boot/
One of our main targets is Democrat Barbara Boxer of California, one of the earliest proponents of the Violence Against Women Act. According to the latest poll, Boxer’s lead over Carly Fiorina has shrunk to a 4 measly points — see article below.
Let’s keep working hard to defeat Barbara ‘below-the-belt’ Boxer on November 2.

Barbara Boxer, Jerry Brown hold edge in California
Democrats hold narrow leads in California’s Senate and gubernatorial races, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll.
The poll of 600 registered voters in the state shows Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) has 4 percentage point edge – 45 percent to 41 percent – over former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina.
In the state’s race for governor, Democrat Jerry Brown – the current attorney general and former governor – leads former eBay CEO Meg Whitman 45 percent to 39 percent.
Though Democrats currently hold the lead, the survey found that Republicans in the typically blue state are more energized heading into November. Sixty-four percent of self-identified Republicans said they are closely following news about the two races while 57 percent of Democrats said the same.
The poll also showed that Californians are very pessimistic about the current direction of the state.
Seventy-eight percent of those polled said the state is on the “wrong track†compared to only 16 percent who think California is on the “right track.â€Â
The poll was conducted June 25-27 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
