Nevada Woman Gets Life in Jail for Sexual Activity with 13-Year-Old Boy
Have our nation’s sexual assault laws gone too far?…
Nevada Woman Gets Life for Lewd Acts With Child
If there’s one thing we all can agree on, it’s that child molestation is a despicable act. In Nevada, engaging in any kind of lewd behavior with a minor could get you thrown in jail … for life.
Michelle Lyn Taylor, 34, was sentenced to life in prison by a Nevada judge, even though her defense attorney argued, “This is cruel and unusual punishment. She put his hand on her boob while she was wearing a bra … now she’s getting life?!”
Taylor was convicted of forcing an underage boy to fondle her breast while she was under the influence of alcohol back in November. The sentence is said to be the harshest ever given to a female sex offender in the state of Nevada.
What do you think? Does the punishment fit the crime?

I think life in prison is an excessive punishment in this case. On the other hand, I suspect that if a drunk man had engaged in a similar lewd act with a boy and been given a life sentence, few people would have any problem with that outcome.
ay I am appalled at how female pedophiles usually do not even get jail time. There is a woman in my states of Utah in a small town called Tooele, who was caught having sex with a 13 year old boy who, when the judge sentence her, said “Had you been a man I would have given you 7 years in prison but because you’re a woman I will give you 5 years probation and 3 years house arrest.†I thought, this is not a sentence, this is an extended vacation!
We can all name so many women like Debra LaFave who walked with no jail time, no registering as a sex offender. It still to this day shocks and amazes me that such a double standard exist. Having said that I do agree with Chris Heard, there needs to be a balance. Someone that removes their close and forces a child to touch them should get more time then someone who does it over their clothing. Someone taking a childs cloths off and touching them should get more time then someone who just flashes a child. We need to have a balance. What I find the most shocking of all is that the held her to the same level as they would a man!
Sorry I did copy and past right it should have read:

It’s the first tough, example-making American sentence I’ve seen for this type of crime. I think Vanessa George in the UK received at least six years but there were 30 sets of parents of nursery school kids that she abused and filmed waiting to lynch her when she gets out – there will not be any “Hot for Teacher” nights happening in that area of England any time soon.
