Tired of Newspapers that Confuse ‘Accusers’ with ‘Victims’?

The False Rape Society has developed a form letter to send reporters and editors who claim any accuser of rape or domestic violence should be accorded the status of being a “victim.”

Here’s the letter:

Re: [Name of story]

Dear ___________:

I write to express my concern about your use of the term “victim” to describe the accuser in the above-referenced story.

By labeling her the “victim” before a single scrap of evidence has been admitted at trial, much less an adjudication of guilt, you have unwittingly rushed to judgment and declared her allegation to be factual.

Such a description does a grave disservice to (1) the presumed innocent who are accused of such crimes since, by necessity, they must be guilty if their accusers are, in fact, “victims”; (2) actual rape victims, because you trivialize rape when you include among its victims women who might only be false accusers; and (3) your readers, who are entitled to accurate reporting but receive something less than that when you transform an accuser into a “victim.”

It is well to note that every objective study ever conducted on false rape claims shows that they are a significant problem. The only fair manner of reporting on these cases is to refer to accusers as exactly what they are: accusers.

I implore you to exercise greater care in reporting on such stories, and to show sensitivity to the presumed innocent and their families, by not suggesting that the trial is over even before it has begun.

Thank you.

Very truly,

After going through the “Divorce” DV charge….

You know, the one where the womans attorney tells her to use the “Silver Bullet” to gain a custody advantage….you know, the one where a man can be a GREAT Father for 10 years and have it ALL DESTROYED in 1 day….you know, the one where a man can have NO CONTACT with the LAW in over 10 years of marriage and then have his nuts cut off in 1 day…….

So Standing in court…..the DA kept calling her the “victim”…..

I said, “Your Honor, I would appreciate it if the DA stops referring to her as the “Victim”…..being brought up in AMERICA where the “Accused” is deemed “Innocent” until proven guilty….that word alone will bias the Jury and anyone else in the courtroom against me”….

Which he replied, “I’m sorry son, but I can’t tell the DA to stop using that word to identify your wife”…….”She is entitled to say Victim as this is a Domestic Violence proceeding”….

I replied, “Your Honor, how can Domestic Violence occur when I was 30 miles away from her at the time of the incident”…….

Which He replied, “That is the way the law is written”…….

Which I replied, “Speaking about the law, I can’t then be charged with Menacing due to the fact that the “victim”/DA must prove that violence was imminent and that can’t be proven since I was 30 miles away at the time of the incident”…..

Which he replied, “True, DA you must drop that charge if you can’t prove danger was imminent”…

Which I replied, “Then since Menacing is the basis for the DV charge, this entire case should be dropped”…..

Which he replied, “There is still the issue of the 25 calls in a row you made to her”.

Which I replied, “My wife said she was packing the kids in the car at THAT EXACT moment and said she was taking them 7 states away to Ohio and I would not see them again, her attorney was going to make me “PAY” and that I was going to lose everything…So yes I tried to call until I got her on the phone since I was at work and could do NOTHING”

Which He replied, “Harassment is Domestic Violence”

Which I replied, “WHAT”????? “So anyway, can the DA stop using the term “victim”

Which he replied, “No son, she can use that term to identify her to the court”…..

That was a special day for me.
